Wifi Internet access was recently ranked as the most important amenity by hotel guests in a J.D. Power and Associates 2010 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study which is based on responses of more than 53,000 guests who stayed in a hotel between May 2009 and June 2010.
- 77% of guests indicate the in-room Internet connection they use is Wi-Fi, compared with just 55% in 2007.
- The overall customer satisfaction of hotels that offer free Internet access is more than one full point higher than hotels that charge for it (8 vs.7).
