Lazy Bear Lodge is a beautiful mountain retreat that provides Valle Crucis, North Carolina Lodging. The lodge is located just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, Boone, and Blowing Rock, NC in a quiet and secluded setting. The classic log mountain lodge is a 2-story log bed and breakfast with large comfortable porches, sweeping views and plenty of privacy. The relaxing front porch overlooks a private garden area and is just a few feet from convenient parking. We have 5 private guest rooms, each with private bath and a fantastic view. Each bedroom is unique: roomy and furnished with hand-picked antiques or handmade furniture, comfortable seating, and gas-fired fireplaces or stoves. Each bathroom is extraordinary, as well, with jetted spas or claw foot tub, a large separate shower, and a custom vanity. In the first floor room is a spacious luxurious bath that includes each amenity previously described and is also designed to accommodate our guests with limitations. Roam our seven wooded mountain-top acres to find secluded sitting areas, unique art and statuary and special gardens. Just minutes from great shopping in Boone or Blowing Rock, we are central to ski basins, Grandfather Mountain, the Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian State University, golfing, fishing, horseback riding and restaurants. Regional events such as the Highland Games are just minutes away, and we provide a lodging alternative if you are attending the Bristol Raceway.
